The SMC guarantee is our commitment to making education accessible and affordable for Michigan residents pursuing an associate's degree. SMC and the State of Michigan now provide tuition assistance—up to full tuition—for most Michigan residents! Learn how affordable your community college education can be:
Community College Guarantee for Recent High School Graduates
Students who graduate in 2023 or later are eligible for the Community College Guarantee. The guarantee covers up to the cost of in-district tuition and mandatory fees.
Michigan Reconnect for Adults 21+
Michigan Reconnect provides up to full tuition assistance for adults who are 21 and older and want to further their education.
