How to Apply for Housing

  1. Apply and Gain Admission to SMC
  2. Log In to the Housing Portal to Begin the Application
    • Use your SMC Wired credentials, found in your Admitted Student Portal, to sign into the housing portal. Remember, sign in with your school account.
  3. Fill Out the Application
    • Detailed application instructions may be found here: Housing Application Guide
    • You do not have to complete the application in one setting. You may leave the application at any point; you can save your work. However, your application will not be complete until you sign and pay the $75 non-refundable fee. 
  4. Pay the Non-refundable, $75 Application Fee
  5. Submit Your Application

Residence Life Applications Due:
(Applications may be submitted after this date, but availability will be limited)		 May 15
Roommate Selection:  May 15-June 15
Room Assignments: Beginning June 15
Deadline to Be Registered for Fall Classes:
(for residence life students only)		 July 15
Housing Fees Due:  July 15
Fall Tuition and Fees Due:  July 15
Cancellation Deadline:  August 15 by 8 a.m.
Fall Move-in:  August 30, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Classes Begin:  September 8
Fall Move-out:
(for students who didn't request Winter Break housing)		 December 19 by 1 p.m.

Deadline to Be Registered for Spring Classes:

Spring Housing and Tuition and Fees Due:  December 1
Cancellation Deadline: December 1 by 8 a.m.
Residence Life Applications Due (New Students):
(Applications may be submitted after this date, but availability will be limited) 		 January 1
Spring Move-in: January 16, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Spring Move-out: May 9, by 1 p.m.
