Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in CADD 101. The course provides students with the opportunity to develop a set of residential drawings that include a site layout/plot plan, a floor plan, all elevation views, a section view, a foundation plan, electrical plans, and introductions to construction details. The drawings will be the start of a building permit set that the student could use to build a house. 2D and 3D drafting techniques will be used as a tool to assemble the drawings. Emphasis will be placed on a review of Section 3-Building Planning of the Michigan Residential Code/International Residential Code (2105 or current) in the development of the drawings. [Semesters Offered: Spring]
