Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in CADD 101. This course will examine residential exterior styles and interior space planning for use and flow. It will also review design cost impacts, value engineering and affordable construction techniques, the use of materials that are environmentally sustainable and sound, and the utilization of green construction methods. This course also provides students with the opportunity to apply their experiences and develop a set of residential building permit plans in a CAD environment which will include site layout, floor plan, elevation views, and construction details. Community development and infrastructure considerations will be introduced. [Semesters Offered: Spring]
