Course Description
Prerequisite: None. This course presents a study of the genres of literature for children and young adults. The emphasis is upon the qualities that are inherent in successful literature for this age group. Comparative multicultural readings may include picture books, fairy tales, modern fantasy, realistic fiction, and nonfiction. [Semesters Offered: Fall]
