Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 115, ENGL 103W, ENGL 103, or ENGL 104, or satisfactory test scores placing into ENGL 103W or higher. Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 115 allowed. This course will provide an overview of the correctional system in the United States. It will explore the history of punishment and provide insight into community corrections and institutional corrections. This course will also examine the prison world and the issues faced in corrections today. [Semesters Offered: Spring]
