Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MUSI 201. A study of the evolution of harmonic and melodic materials traced through the 20th century. Emphasis is placed on analysis of music composed during the 19th and 20th centuries in Western Europe and the United States. Short composition assignments will also be required. Concurrent enrollment in MUSI 206 required for music majors. [Semesters Offered: Spring]
