Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 115, ENGL 103W, ENGL 103, or ENGL 104, or satisfactory test scores placing into ENGL 103W or higher. Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 115 allowed. An introduction to Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism as well as a study of the religions of China, Japan, and the indigenous peoples. This course will assist the student to understand the historical development of these religions and the basic presuppositions including ultimate reality, world view, paths to liberation and ethics. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring]
