Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 115, ENGL 103W, ENGL 103, or ENGL 104, or satisfactory test scores placing into ENGL 103W or higher. Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 115 allowed. An exploration of American cinema from the silent film era to the present. A selection of classic films are viewed in class and then discussed in terms of content and cinematic technique. The course explores how the films viewed reflect themes in American culture. [Semesters Offered: Variable]
