Whether you aspire to run an office or grow your own business, a certificate in business management can help make that happen.

About the Certificate in Business Management
As an aspiring business professional, you have unique ideas and goals. In business management certificate program, you’ll get a solid introduction to business principles so that you’re fully equipped to manage a office or launch and run your own venture. You’ll learn how to develop marketing strategy, manage people and finances, and more. You’ll also improve your “soft skills” and learn how to relate to and communicate with customers and business partners.
This certificate can also be added to an associate degree in a non-business area to provide knowledge that supports management in a specific field, such as construction, graphic arts, or welding.

Clubs and Honor Societies
Business Club
The Business Club is open to students of any major. The Business Club allows students to engage with each other and professionals in various industries. The Business Club also hosts various events on campus and typically participates in a field trip each semester to various businesses/industries so that students can see first-hand the experience of what it is like to work in that business/industry.
Alpha Beta Gamma
Business and accounting students have the opportunity to join SMC’s chapter of Alpha Beta Gamma, the international business honor society.
Barbara Wood Building
The Barbara Wood Building is home to all business, accounting, paralegal, and IT classes at SMC.
